GMA 2024: Stonebwoy revives beef between him and Shatta Wale recalls 2019 occurrence on stage instructed organizers to announce him the as “2019 Artiste of the year”
Stonebwoy popularly known in real life as Livingstone Etse Satekla made a historic milestone in his music career as he was crowned the Artiste of the year at 2024 TGMA Awards yesterday
At the event, he swept 6 awards which were Best International Collaboration, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Dancehall Artiste
Receiving the epic award as the Artiste of the year, he instructed the organizers of the event, Telecel Ghana Music Awards to announce him as the winner of the 2019 Artiste of the year to cement his victory as the most awarded personality as far the ultimate category (Artiste of the year) is concern
According to the Afro-dancehall and reggae musician, ”we all know the truth, and nobody can change the truth we all saw what happened in 2019” he said
The message didn’t go well for some music lovers as they said the musician has revived the beef between him Shatta Wale
This has generated a heated argument among the fans of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy
Shortly after the event, Shatta Wale shared on this twitter page that Stonebwoy didn’t deserve Artiste of the year and that it was King Promise
The previous Event
It would be recalled that during the 2019 VGMA Awards ceremony, an altercation ensued between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale where Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage when Shatta Wale allegedly attempted to handshake Stonebwoy for winning the Dancehall Artiste category
This resulted in the cancellation and discontinuation of the event
While Ghanaians had forgotten, it seems Stonebwoy has not gotten over the incident since the last 5 years
