Miss Emelia Oparebea Ayesu yesterday changed the face of Legon JCR Leadership as the first female Congress Leader, beating her contestants with a trying ”one vote.”
She will be sworn in in the offing 2024/2025 academic year to steer the affairs of the Congress as the boss all proceedings of the JCR.

During the memory leaver dinners for 2024 final year resident students in the premier hall, the senior hall tutor, Dr. Monica Mensah, commended her hard work and victory for becoming the female primogeniture of the leadership of Congress and inspired other female ladies to suit
Being the second deputy of Legon Hall JCR Congress, Oparebea has positioned herself in the matters of congress and its proceedings, and it is believed that she is going to do well in her administration owing to her past experience.
Scores of students and dignitaries have congratulated her for the bold steps taken and willingness to set forth changes.
The level 300 Political Science and Information Studies student has promised the JCR that she will do everything in her capacity to assist the 2024/2025 JCR administration to achieve its purpose of realizing the betterment of residents’ students in the hall.
Speaking to gabsfeed.com, Oparebea revealed that it is a great task on her to perform well in order to make her administration attractive for other individuals who might have interest in leadership as youngsters.
