The Director of the Academic Affairs Directorate at the University of Ghana, Mrs. Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, has confirmed the release date for the first batch of admissions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
University of Ghana announces administrative positions for interested applicants
In an exclusive interview on Campus Exclusive, she stated that the university is currently verifying applicants’ results from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) after closing the admissions portal on January 3, 2024.
Mrs. Nyako-Danquah announced that the first batch of admissions will be released between January 10 and January 15, 2025.
She assured that thorough efforts are being made to ensure accuracy before the results are published.

“We have some processes to complete, but fingers crossed, the first batch of admissions will be out between Friday, January 10, and Wednesday, January 15, 2025,” she said.
She also addressed concerns for applicants who may not receive admission despite meeting the requirements.
These candidates will have the opportunity to use a self-placement system to select available programs they qualify for.
Admitted students are encouraged to confirm their admission by making an initial payment of at least 50% of their fees.
