The conference brought together esteemed researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from across the country to share insights and discuss the latest developments in mental health research at the British Council in Accra on the theme ”Contextualising Ghanaian Mental Health service via Research on Best Practices”
”This conference has marked the beginning of an annual tradition aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of mental health issues and promoting innovative research for health practitioners”, the Principal Dr. Cecilia Tutu Danquah said
According to her, research informs the practice for counsellors in their profession so she encouraged the Institute to organise more often , such programmes
Dr. Sampson Afrifa Jnr. Director of Research for TUCEE Institute of Counselling and Technology expressed joy for the active participation of the participants during the programme
”The conference is a good start and its opened up a way for us to see how we can grow together in terms building research in the counselling profession,
Going forward we can look at organising a research colloquium where we can some of these researchers to actually produce their own papers not just findings , but advocacy related issues that is going to help the counselling profession”, he said
He also emphasized dating back in biblical history how research helped many men of God to execute His plans on earth






Moreso, the event was organised at a time when the Principal of the institute Dr. Cecilia Tutu Danquah was celebrating her 50th birthday where her family, friends including the staff of TUCEE Institute occasioned the programme making it an eye watering one
