In anticipation of the 2023 general election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State chapter has disowned Dr. Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment, for failing to publicly endorse Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate.
The head of the APC in Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike, distanced the national party from Chris Ngige’s remarks on Channels Television on Friday.
He claims that Ngige’s comments in an interview with Channels Television have nothing to do with the APC and that they were the Minister’s personal opinions.
“The minister never indicated during the interview that he spoke for our party, and what he said was personal and does not represent the stance of the Anambra State chapter of the APC party.
