The convoy of Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Auchi, was ambushed by some assassins. The Nation Newspaper said that seven people were killed, including three police officers who were protecting Apostle Suleman.

Both Apostle Suleman’s attorney, Samuel Amune, and the Edo Police spokesman, Chuidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the occurrence. Chuidi Nwabuzor claims that during the gunfight, one of the assassins was killed by the police.

Apostle Suleman was ambushed by the assassins as he travelled from Warake back to Auchi along Sabingida. When the raid took place, Suleman and his convoy had already passed Warake and were approaching Auchi’s borders.

One of the assassins was also slain in the attack, along with Suleman’s drivers and three police officers. One of Apostle Suleman’s domestic helpers went missing after the attack, and the Edo State Police Command reported that searches are still being conducted to find her whereabouts.
