Some of the shooters involved in an attempt to kill Senator Ifeanyi Ubah have been detained, according to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State.
Soludo made this statement on Friday in the state’s Njikoka Local Government Area’s Enugwu-Ukwu, the same hamlet where the tragedy occurred about a month ago.

Despite being attacked and losing two personal assistants and four security guards, Ubah was able to escape in his armoured vehicle.
Nevertheless, Soludo announced that the criminals had been captured and that security officers were looking for the other members of the group at the funeral for Pa Boniface Nwankwo, the father of Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, who represents the federal district of Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha in the House of Representatives, was taking place.

He stated: “In the same neighbourhood three weeks prior, some individuals decided to attack Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. I want to let you know that we have detained several of the attackers. We are currently looking for the remaining individuals.”
