The Ghana Football Association has decided to suspend the start of the betPawa Premier League.

Nonetheless, this follows Ashantigold SC’s Motion on Notice for Injunction, which was filed on Wednesday, September 28, in the Human Rights High Court and served on the GA’s lawyers yesterday at noon.

Following the issuance of the request, the Association has decided to suspend the league until the court rules on a Motion on Notice for Injunction on October 14, 2022.

The Association wishes to appeal to all stakeholders—sponsors, partners, and clubs who have invested in the league; players whose livelihood is dependent on the league; match officials; administrators; officials; and league followers and clubs—to remain calm.

The Association will make every effort to seek reparation for the Premier League’s prompt return and to guarantee that the schedule is not unduly disturbed during this World Cup season.
