Reggae-dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., from Ghana, was born on October 17, 1984. He was originally known as Bandana and is now more well-known as Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale is also an actress who has participated in the movies Shattered Lives, Shatta Wale’s trial, and Never Say Never. “Moko Hoo,” a Wale track from 2004, was a nominee for a Ghana Music Award.

Shatta Wale allegedly made up the story that he had been shot and was getting treatment in October 2021. Later, once the police declared him wanted, he turned himself up.

The Ghana Police Service detained him on suspicion of spreading false information and disseminating it to incite panic. He was held in prison for one week on remand.

At the court held today, Shatta Wale was given a self-recognizance bond of GHC $100,000. 
The musician was involved in another altercation with the police a week after being freed on bail when he stormed out of a meeting with celebrities that the Ghanaian Police Chief had requested.

Shatta Wale protested unfair treatment after all of his coworkers allegedly had access to their phones throughout the meeting but not him.

After it was allegedly discovered that all of his coworkers were permitted to use their phones during the meeting but not him, Shatta Wale complained of unfair treatment. Later, he attended the meeting and apologised before IGP George Akuffo Dampare.

Burna Boy

Burna Boy, a stage name for Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, is a Nigerian singer, composer, and record producer. He was born on July 2, 1991. He became famous after releasing “Like to Party,” the main song of his debut studio album, L.I.F.E., in 2012. In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Warner Music Group internationally and Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the US. Outside, his third studio album was his first major-label release.

Burna Boy released his sixth studio album in July 2022, titled Love, Damini, which also set a record for the highest launch of an African album on Billboard, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and France. The album came in at number 10 on Nigeria Entertainment Today’s choice of the top 12 albums of 2013.
