Abubakar Atiku, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, claims to be the most qualified person to lead Nigeria in 2023.
Atiku made this claim in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja and signed by his media adviser, Mr. Paul Ibe.

He asserted that, as a Northerner who had built unifying bridges across the nation during his more than three-decade political career, he stood head and shoulders above the competition.
“I am from the North and have been involved in politics for more than three decades. So, when someone asks me why I am the best person to lead Nigeria in 2023, I will simply respond that Nigeria needs a pan-Nigerian president, regardless of whether that president is Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa-Fulani.”
