Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), took a shot at Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while speaking to large crowds at the ongoing Arewa Forum in Kaduna State. He claimed that Atiku should not have started his campaign in Uyo if he knew that he would talk to the North about not voting for Igbo and Yoruba candidates. Tinubu remarked.

It is not my fault that I am a Yoruba and a City Boy from Lagos; the Northern Governors said it must go to the South, and that is what happened. If you start your campaign in Uyo and come here (Kaduna) to say you are the choice of the North, you have lost the election.
