The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has disclosed why he refused to make use of a piece of land given to him by the current Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed
In a video shared on YouTube by Prime Reporters News, Peter Obi while speaking to a group of people disclosed that Governor Bala Mohammed gave him a piece of land in Abuja which he refused to make use of. He told the people that they were free to ask the Governor if what he said was true.
Speaking further, Peter Obi said three months ago Governor Bala told him that he was the only person he gave a piece of land to who didn’t build anything on it. He said he told the Governor that he didn’t need land in Abuja because he did not want to have houses all over the place which could cause him headaches.
In Peter Obi’s exact words: “The present Governor of Bauchi State gave me a land in Abuja, he is there you can ask him. He told me three months ago that I am the only person he gave land to who hasn’t built on it. I said I told you that I do not need a land in Abuja. I don’t want houses all over the place. I am not against those who do it as long as it doesn’t conflict with my interest, you can do it but I want to reduce my headache”.
