Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has vowed that he will never permit the Northerners to predominate the party’s leadership level in the wake of the disputes among PDP members.

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, when he was hosting some PDP members and local government chairmen from Cross Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State made this declaration.

He claimed that no one in the PDP could persuade him to give up his support for internal party democracy.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is currently experiencing a crisis as a result of the dominance of Northern leaders in the party, such as Iyorchia Ayu, the National Chairman of the Party; Atiku Abubakar, the Party’s presidential candidate; and Aminu Tambuwal, the Director General of the Presidential campaign.
