NMC Self-Assessment

You must first complete an online self-assessment to determine whether you are eligible to apply for NMC registration.

You will be asked to confirm that you meet the health, character, and English language requirements as part of this assessment.

Pass the Computer Based Test (CBT)

All nurses in the United Kingdom are required to be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC). Registration includes a Computer Based Test (CBT), which can be taken at any of the world’s test centres. The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions.

NMC Application Evaluation

You’ll need to submit a number of documents to the NMC in order for them to determine whether you’re a good fit for a nursing position in the UK.

Your application will be reviewed by a member of the International Registrations Team once NMC receives all required documents.

Send Documents to the Employer

You will be required to submit various documents to Global Nurse Force throughout the recruitment process, which will be forwarded to your employer.
These documents ensure that you can work as a nurse in the UK safely and legally.

Among these documents are:

Application for the NHS
A background check from your home country
Documents proving your address.

Certificate Of Sponsorship (COS)

A Certificate of Sponsorship is required to apply for a UK work visa (COS). Your NHS Trust will act as your sponsor and apply on your behalf. Your COS will be valid for three years, after which you can be re-sponsored. After 5 years in the UK, you can apply for permanent residency.

An Application for a Visa

International nurses who wish to work in the UK must apply for a Tier 2 Visa. Their clients in the United Kingdom will pay or reimburse the cost of your visa.

Flight to the United Kingdom

Their clients will either pay for or reimburse your flight to the United Kingdom.
When you arrive, they will meet you at the airport and transport you to your first hotel. They are always ready to assist you.

Once you start your job, they will be in touch on a regular basis to help you in any way they can.

Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)

The second exam required for NMC registration is the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). The OSCE will assess your clinical knowledge and can only be taken in the United Kingdom.

The OSCE simulates a clinical setting and patient scenarios that all registered nurses and midwives are likely to face when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.

Their clients will prepare you thoroughly for the OSCE and pay for the exam.

Receive NMC PIN

You’ll be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and given your NMC Personal Identification Number once you pass the OSCE (PIN).
