Using the ongoing turmoil wracking the PDP, the All Progressive Congress has made fun of Iyorchia Ayu, the embattled national chairman of that party.
Ayu was spotted making grand promises to Nigerians during one of their campaigns, according to Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for Tinubu’s campaign council. However, Keyamo questioned how they expect Nigerians to have faith in them to deliver when Ayu himself hasn’t kept the promise he made to his own party.

He stated: “I believe they have had their fill in Nigeria. You may recall how the PDP national chairman (Iyorchia Ayu) stood on the platform during their campaign and made outlandish promises to Nigerians. And he is a man who failed to honour even a single token pledge made to his own party. Are these the folks we want in positions of authority once more? Nigerians are smarter.”
Ayu’s unwillingness to keep the pledge he purportedly made is the fundamental cause of the crisis that shook the party. Those advocating for his ouster claim that he pledged to resign if Atiku was chosen as the party’s presidential candidate, but strangely, he is still standing his ground.
