According to a story published yesterday by the DAILY POST, Abiodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been sworn in as the governor of Ekiti State.

According to previous reports, Abiodun Oyebanji has been proclaimed the victor of the Ekiti State governorship election after receiving 187,057 votes, defeating his two closest competitors, Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who received 82,211 votes, and Bisi Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 67,457 votes.

Furthermore, on Sunday, October 16, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the State Chief Judge, administered the oath of office to the former Secretary to the State Government (SSG). According to the source, the new governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, took the oath of office at 12:53 pm in the State’s government building.

But many dignitaries were in attendance, including Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State; Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau; Abubakar Badaru, the governor of Jigawa; Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos; Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo; Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ondo; and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
