Bode George, a senior member of the PDP, has expressed concern about the manner in which the party’s leadership is handling calls for Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, to leave.
When asked how he would campaign for Atiku Abubakar, Bode George said in an interview that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, is a Yoruba man like him, but he has nothing to show his people back home.

He said, “They’re urging me to wait until after the election, but how would I go to campaign for this is our candidate, this is what we’re going to bring home to you?” Is there any political meaning in that? Please provide us with something we can bring home to demonstrate to our people that we still have a sense of belonging. We have a candidate, an APC candidate of my own ancestry, and you’re telling us not to worry if we win; we’ll take it into consideration immediately. In this day and age, who are you going to tell that to?
