Will It Be An Advantage For NDC If Kennedy Agyapong Is Elected As The Flagbearer For NPP?
The National Democratic Congres, NDC, might stand a chance of winning the 2024 general election but it will depend on the person they will choose as their flag bearer.
The ex-President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and the former Finance Minister, Kwabena Duffour are said to contest for the flag bearer position.
The former president John Mahama is known to be the most popular and best candidate to stand in for the party but according to some of the supporters of the party, NDC will lose woefully if Mahama is selected as the flag bearer for the National Democratic Party.
They backed their claims by saying that, ex-President Mahama was given the opportunity in 2012 to show his competencies thus his government was condemned and criticized for being corrupt and involved in political scandals.
The possible way to determine whether NDC can win the 2024 general election will sorely depend on the kind of person they will decide to choose because currently, there is a serious skirmish between some of the keen members of the party.
Some are in support of John Mahama while others also support Kwabena Duffour hence this issue can lead to a big blow between the party members and their supporters.
Kennedy Agyapong has a strong base that needs to be taken seriously because he is a man of his word and surely he would do anything to win the election if he is elected as the flag bearer for the NPP.
Note; don’t underestimate Kennedy Agyapong when it comes to politics because he is well trained in that field and has a lot of followers who are willing to assist him in the upcoming election.
My take: NDC has a chance of winning the election but they shouldn’t underrate Hon Kennedy Agyapong because he can outsmart them when least expected.
