The governors in charge of it are Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), and Godwin Obaseki (Edo).
At the conclusion of the Southsouth PDP Governors Forum, which Governor Udom Emmanuel organised in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, this information was made public in a statement.
The meeting was attended by Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto and chairman of the DG Atiku/Okowa Campaign Council, which included the four local governors.

The meeting “strongly urged the four PDP governors from the South-South zone who attended to do everything in their power to persuade their brother governors, particularly Governor Nyesom Wike, to reconsider their stance and work with the party to rescue, rebuild, and reunite the nation in the best interests of the suffering Nigerians,” according to the statement.
He said,
“The meeting highlighted the need for unity and urged all party members within the South South Zone to make all necessary sacrifices, both individually and collectively, to ensure the party’s victory in all elections in 2023, particularly to save the country from the abyss and verge of total collapse brought on by the APC’s administration in the country.”
