UG-SRC Announces Opening of Applications for SRC Electoral Commissioners

As the University of Ghana gears up for the 2024 UGSRC elections, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has fulfilled a crucial constitutional mandate. The SRC Electoral Commissioner Vetting Committee has announced the opening of applications for the position of 2024/2025 SRC Electoral Commissioner, in accordance with Article 33, Clause 2 of the SRC Constitution.

Application Details

– Applications open: May 22, 2024

– Applications close: May 25, 2024

– Available position: 2024/2025 SRC Electoral Commissioner

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:

– Not be in their final year as at the time of submitting applications

– Satisfy a minimum CGPA of 3.0

Application Process

Interested students are requested to submit their applications in writing (letters) to the Electoral Commissioners Vetting Committee via email:srcecvettingcommittee@gmail.com.

Following the submission of applications, the committee will invite all applicants for vetting. After the verting, three successful applicants will be selected to serve as SRC Electoral Commissioner, 1st Deputy Electoral Commissioner, and 2nd Deputy Electoral Commissioner for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Responsibilities

The SRC Electoral Commissioners will be responsible for supervising the conduct of the 2024 SRC elections, which will be conducted using the University of Ghana Computing Systems (UGCS) voting software.
