The Dean of students of affairs in University of Ghana has clarified what led to the cancellation of the artiste night which Ghanaian music star Shatta Wale was booked on at Top James AKA Nelson Hall (TF Hostel)
Speaking to Mr. Collins on radio Universe on the campus #CampusEx show, Professor Rosina explained to the public that there is a ban on public gathering in the University of Ghana since August 2022 due to the Commonwealth and Mensah Sarbah clash. And that the University is gradually moving to normal
Excerpts of the interview with the Dean of the University of Ghana suggests that last Saturday’s program approval was for Karaoke Night and not Artiste Night –@UGDeanofStudent

This explains that Shatta Wale’s appearance on the show did not come to her office for approval as the case of Limann Hall
She further explained that the University has no issues with Shatta Wale
However, according to a statement from Wave Africa, a youth focused and marketing and communication agency, on Saturday during the step up of the event they were interrupted by the Legon campus security saying ”it is an order from above” to stop the program
The name in relation to the ”order from above” was not mentioned and that the artiste night was to be cancelled
After these occurrences, scores of individuals have alleged that stonebwoy was behind the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s show at TF Hostel but a deep convo with the Dean suggests otherwise
