As the date for the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz gets closer, the excitement and suspense are growing.
This much-anticipated competition in school quizzes now returns with schools across the nation preparing for the thrilling encounter to have the champion lifted.
All of over 100 schools are competing against each other for the prestigious trophy and top honours.
From this impressive field, 27 schools have secured a slot in the one-eighth stage of the national championship.
The Centre for National Culture, CNC, UCC Auditorium 900, and School of Graduate Studies, SGS Auditorium are the centres of the intellectual showdown for the preliminary and one-eight stages where all participating schools will converge for the intellectual showdown.
Below are schools contesting against each other in the preliminary stage of the national championship race.
Launching the 2024 NSMQ and subsequently conducting the balloting for the preliminary stage will be done at the New GNAT Hall, come October 1, 3 PM.
Preliminary rounds will be conducted from October 14 to October 17.
Eventually, the schools that qualify at this one-eighth stage will go into the quarter-finals and semi-final stages, which will all take place in the SGS Auditorium.
The national championship will conclude with the grand finale at the New Education Centre (NEC).
