Former UGSRC Vice President Ohene Lincoln pleads support for visually impaired students whose laptops have been stolen

Two visually impaired students at the University of Ghana, residing in Sarbah Main Hall, recently had their rooms broken into.

Their laptops, which are their primary study tools due to the installed speech readers, as well as their phones, were stolen.

According to eye witness the two visually impaired students cannot travel home as they lack transportation, and they live 9 and 18 hours away, respectively.

As exams approach, these students are in desperate need of laptops to continue their studies.

Amidst this, the former UGSRC Vice President Ohene Lincoln is appealing to the public to aid in the purchase of new laptops for the visually impaired students whose laptop have been stolen by unknown persons within the University

” I have already contributed GHS 1,000 towards purchasing a new laptop for them. If you’re able, please donate to this cause or offer a spare working laptop to help them” , he said
