Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the 2023 vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) has “expired” and must be voted out for Nigeria to have a chance at recovery.

Speaking in a recent interview, Baba-Ahmed said the level of hardship, insecurity, and hopelessness facing Nigerians under APC rule has left the country with no other option but to reject the ruling party at the next opportunity.

He said every segment of the population, from traders and industrialists to farmers, transporters, and the youth, has been pushed to the brink, adding that even members of the APC can no longer defend the party’s failures.

“Nigerians don’t have a choice, APC must go. Even APC does not have a choice, APC must go,” he said.

He questioned the visibility and credibility of the party’s leaders, asking: “Where was Ganduje last week? Where is he today? Nigerian politicians don’t have a choice, APC must go.”

Baba-Ahmed said Nigerians are now united by shared frustration and economic suffering, worsened by insecurity and a weak naira.

“Spenders of the naira, industrialists, trades people, market women and men, farmers, transporters, the youths—nobody has a choice in Nigeria, APC must go,” he added.
