Ghanaian Afropop, afro-dancehall reggae musician Stonebwoy has literally expressed huge disappointment at the Grammys for leaving him out of the nomination of his latest album, “5th Dimension”.
For which much expectations and positive thoughts surrounded with the potential of getting nominated in history, the dream will have to wait for now.
But Stonebwoy is not going to take this lying down, no.
In a recent tweet, he claimed that he has the real deal of Afrobeats, reggae, and dancehall showcasing their proper definition.
The hard-hitting and artistically prolific musician implores that people recognize his efforts, stating that not getting the Grammy nod does not make him any less of an artist.
In an interview on Asaase Radio in July 2023, Stonebwoy voiced his readiness to collaborate with his archrival Shatta Wale, reinforcing the fact that everything that had caused the two to be banned by the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2019 has been resolved.
Despite the loss, Stonebwoy is still very hopeful with his future prospects in the Grammys. In a similar year, in September 2019, Stonebwoy was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Voltic Natural Mineral Water.
He is also doing quite well for himself as a brand ambassador for Tecno mobile in Ghana.
These clear feats show that he is not going to stop soon.
Stonebwoy has been all about not fighting for his inclusion into the Grammys only for glory, but also to put Ghana and African music on the spot
In this part of the World, he has won several awards, including Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET, Artiste of the Year awards both in 2015 and 2024, Ghana Music Awards.
Amidst this, he called for inclusion in an article by Grammy which his name was excluded .
In a twitter post, Stonebwoy called for his name to be added and said the writer might have done some mistakes which needs to be corrected
