The TUCCE Institute of counselling and Technology has trained over 19,000 Teachers in Ghana on mental health and pedagogical skills for effective learning outcome.
Established in 2017, the TUCEE Institution of counselling and technology (TICT) has been very vibrant in facilitating knowledge within the areas of mental health and pedagogical skills.
This training has helped the teachers to appreciate the importance of mental health and its promotion during teaching and learning, as well as referral processes to professional counsellors when applicable

According to the details available to gabsfeed.com, these 19000 teachers spurned from four regions and 27 district in Ghana, the regions are, Greater Accra, Eastern, Western and Central Region. The Districts include but not limited to Ablekuma Central Municipal, Agona East Municipal, Ga North Municipal district, Sewfwi Wiaso, Tema West, Upper Manya Krobo
Speaking to the Principal of TICT, Dr. Cecilia Tutu Danquah made a striking revelation that her focus is to help build a Ghana that has teachers who exhibit the key values of mental health (state of wellbeing, ability to cope with life stressors, being productive and societal contribution) in their profession.
”In the offing year, we will reach out to all regions in Ghana, we want to make the incorporation of mental health and pedagogical skills paramount in teaching domain, we have tested this and it is really helping many of our Ghanaian Teachers in these regions we have reached out to”, she said.
She therefore calls on other educational outlets in various regions and district to call on TICT for the facilitation and implementation of the programme for the benefits of all teachers.
Teachers who had the opportunity to attend this training sessions provided a self reported feedback indicating the usefulness of this programme even in their daily lives.
Accredited by the National Teaching Council, teachers who get the opportunity to attend Tucee Institute of Counselling and Technology trainings get credit points for continuous professional development (CPD).
The principal, who also doubles as a lecturer at the University of Ghana assures the general public that the TUCEE Institute of Counselling and Technology is available to everyone who needs mental health services, counselling training, pedagogical skills acquisition and training related to information technology
