Maintain E-levy to support women development bank and small medium enterprises, Ghana union of traders association have told Mahama today
While many Ghanaians are calling for the cancellation of the e-levy and other nuisant taxes imposed on the Ghanaian citizenry by the previous Akuffo Addo government ,
GUTA seems to counter, the association is currently mounting pressure on the John Mahama government to maintain the e-levy
It would be recalled that Mahama promised Ghanaians that if he’s voted in power, his government is going to cancel all other nuisant taxes that is pressing the pocket of the average Ghanaian
The promised wowed the heart of many Ghanaians thereby giving him the tenet of state of affairs on January 7, 2025 .

The issue of maintaining the e-levy has become a bone of contention between the citizens of Ghana and GUTA as some have even suggests it could be the same political actors who are behind GUTA’s push for maintaining the e-levy by Mahama in a seemingly manner to represent the voice of Ghanaians
If continued, that would mean Mahama has deceived Ghanaians to ascend the highest office of land and the youths will be highly disappointed in him
Scores of Ghanaians have backlashed the association GUTA for maintaining their stance on the continuation of e-levy
