Presidency reveals exact date Tinubu will sign 4 tax bills into law

The presidency has announced that President Bola Tinubu will sign four tax bills into law on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy in a statement said the bills would transform Nigeria’s fiscal and revenue framework.

 The four bills – the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill – were earlier passed by lawmakers of the National Assembly.

The bills when passed into law are also expected to improve the nation’s economy by increasing Nigeria’s revenue generation, improving the business environment, and boosting the country’s domestic and foreign investments.

Dignitaries expected to be present at the signing of the bill into law at the Presidential Villa include the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Senate Majority Leader, House Majority Leader, chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, and his House counterpart.

 In addition, the Chairman of the Governors Forum, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, the Minister of Finance and the Coordination Minister of the Economy, and the Attorney General of the Federation will also attend the ceremony.
