Dear Sir/Madam,

Subject: Request for permission to increase in Credit Hours to Facilitate Resit Registration

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is [Your Name], a final-year student pursuing a [Your Program] in the College of Humanities at the University of Ghana.

I am writing to respectfully request an increase in my credit hours to enable me to register for a resit examination and subsequently be eligible for the upcoming graduation ceremony.

Due to unforeseen circumstances during the previous semester, I was unable to successfully complete [Course Name/Course Code], which has resulted in a deficiency in my required credit hours for graduation.

I have since prepared thoroughly to retake this course and am confident in my ability to pass the resit examination.

However, as it stands, my current credit hour limit prevents me from registering for this necessary resit.

Given the significance of this course for the completion of my degree requirements,

I kindly request an increase in my credit hour limit to accommodate the registration for the resit examination. This adjustment will allow me to fulfill my academic obligations and qualify for the upcoming graduation ceremony.

I fully understand the regulations and constraints regarding credit hour limits, but I am appealing for your leniency and consideration of my situation.

The opportunity to graduate alongside my peers is of immense personal and professional importance to me, and I am committed to putting in the requisite effort to ensure success in the resit examination.

Thank you very much for considering my request.

I am more than willing to discuss my situation further and provide any additional information that might assist in your decision.

I appreciate your time and understanding and look forward to your favorable response.

Yours sincerely,
