After enduring many defeats, Tuobodom SHTS has finally secured their first national slot in the National Science and Maths Quiz, staying true to their motto, “Our suffering will never be in vain.” This achievement marks a significant milestone in the school’s history.
Tuobodom SHTS triumphed over Notre Dame Girls SHS, Amanten SHS, and Kajaji SHS in a fierce competition, earning the second slot for the Bono East region in the national tournament.
They will join Kintampo SHS, Notre Dame Girls, Techiman SHS, and Akumfi Ameyaw SHS in representing the Bono East region this year.
Notre Dame Girls and Akumfi Ameyaw initially failed to win their first-round contests but qualified as top runners-up.
They were given a second chance when two schools didn’t show up for their contests. Seizing this opportunity, Akumfi Ameyaw defeated Atebubu SHS and Yeji SHS.
Since 2021, Techiman SHS has struggled to secure a national slot after being eliminated at the quarterfinal stage.
Now, the Tuobodom SHS students are determined to claim a spot at the national championship and bring pride to the Bono East region.
