Late John Kumah had $30 million in his bank account when we checked – NPP founding member

Adum Bawuah, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that the late finance minister, John Kumah, had $30 million in his account.

During an interview on TOP FM, Bawuah, who is displeased with the current state of affairs in the country, made startling claims about his party members.

He stated that while members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are corrupt, NPP members are even worse, alleging they are excessively stealing from the state. Bawuah claimed that upon John Kumah’s death, a check of his account showed a balance of $30 million.

He questioned how Kumah could accumulate such wealth in just three years as a deputy minister.

John Ampontuah Kumah, who passed away a few months ago, was the deputy finance minister and the Member of Parliament for Ejisu. He was appointed as deputy finance minister after President Nana Addo won the 2020 general elections.
