A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Eze Chukwuemeka has urged President Bola Tinubu to forget about a re-election bid.
Eze in a statement issued on Monday, June 23, advised Tinubu not to contest in the 2027 presidential election.
He, however, commended the former vice president and two-time presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi of Labour Party and former governor Nasir El-Rufai for championing the political coalition aimed at ousting the presisent.
He also commended the trio for their bravery in taking steps to register a new party, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA).
Eze also accused the Tinubu-led government of performing below par since assuming office on May 29, 2023.
He said, “Finally, President Tinubu can now start packing his luggage for his much anticipated movement back to his Bourdillon Home after all the colossal damages he has committed against our democracy and economy due to his abysmal performance within two years of stolen mandate as a president.”
Eze further reiterated that Tinubu’s administration has only succeeded in making Nigerians pass through a horrible situation of poverty, nepotism, incompetence and corruption among others.
He said, “I commend all of you for your foresight, proactiveness, optimism, commitment and patriotism in a bid to wrestle power from the hands of despots, nepotists selfish and anti democratic forces, who have plunged our dear nation into a land of bloodletting, kidnapping, misery, abject poverty, devastating hunger and made Nigeria a laughing stock before the international community.”
