In a Facebook post the business man said
“Namaste,
Today we mourn the passing of my extraordinary mother, who left this world on January 7, 2026, at 8:03 AM Philippine time.
In every moment of her life, she showed us what it means to be brave, generous, and endlessly loving. She was a rebel in the best sense — breaking the norms of her time, eloping and marrying at 17, and building a life filled with six beautiful children: Chuck, Gwen, Tommy, Joey, Bo, and Evitha. She lived largely, with a flair for fashion and glamour, a passion for travel, and a spirit that refused to be confined by convention.
Her home was always open — a haven where relatives and friends found welcome, warmth, and laughter. She had a remarkable sense of humor — quick with a joke, a wink, or a comforting word — and she could light up a room with her presence. Her love for her grandchildren ran deep; she cherished every moment with them, and even in her last days she never stopped thinking of them, calling them by name and sharing a kiss. I know her final favorite moment with her youngest grandchild, Sudarshan Das, was a tender kiss and a quiet blessing.
She was always generous, lending a hand, an ear, or a seat at her table to those in need. An Aries through and through, she faced life with enthusiasm, courage, and an unshakable will. She loved deeply, cared for herself with diligence, and remained carefree in the best possible sense — embracing joy, beauty, and connection.
Her spirituality was a guiding light. She walked a path of devotion, surrounded by friends who shared a love for the devotees of Lord Krishna. She always prayed and offered her meals before eating, a daily ritual that spoke to her reverence and gratitude. She taught us to dream boldly and to pursue those dreams with passion, resilience, and faith.
To our cherished family, friends, and all who knew her, thank you for your prayers, memories, and support during this time.
Your kindness helps cradle us as we begin to heal. May her spirit rest in peace, surrounded by the divine light she honored every day.
With deepest love and gratitude,
Sriman Japadas”
