“The labor market continues to lack economic tailwind. The weak development will therefore continue at the end of the year,” said the CEO of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), Andrea Nahles. The bottom line is that the labor market is weaker than it was a year ago, it said. “But there are some indications that we have reached the bottom,” said Nahles.
Compared to the same month last year, the number of unemployed was 101,000 higher; the unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points.
