Do used electric cars cost much more than combustion engines? An exclusive data analysis shows that this is no longer true. Sometimes even less. What’s worth it – and what’s not.
Anyone looking for a used one a few years ago Electric car If you were looking for something, you could quickly despair: there were hardly any advertisements and the prices were high. A market hardly existed yet. But that has changed: The used car market for electric cars in Germany is growing, as a data analysis by the used car portal Autoscout24 for ZEIT shows.
Since a cost peak in September 2022, the average price of used electric cars on the portal has almost halved. It now hardly differs from the price of the diesel and petrol engines on offer: all three drive types are between 25,000 and 35,000 euros.
