The US government has a supposed president Donald Trump incriminating letter from the newly published files on the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein called a fake. The handwritten letter attributed to Epstein said Trump liked to “grope” “young, attractive girls.” The letter is addressed to the former sports doctor for the US national gymnastics team, Larry Nassar. He was sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing more than 250 female athletes.
Shortly before his suicide in August 2019, Epstein complained to Nassar that they were both in prison for sexual offenses, while “the president shares our preference for young, attractive girls.” The letter goes on to say of Trump: “When a young beauty walked by, he loved to ‘grope’ her.”
The Justice Department doubts the authenticity of the letter and pointed out errors: Among other things, the letter was postmarked three days after Epstein’s death and arrived in the inbox in Virginia, even though the sex offender was imprisoned in New York. The FBI confirmed the forgery of the letter, the Ministry of Justice announced on X.
“We make documents available – and sometimes this leads to fake or false documents being published because they are simply in our possession,” said Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. A typical example is the so-called Epstein-Nassar letter, which is clearly fake.
Ministry of Justice speaks of “sensational allegations”
The new documents also contain a January 2020 note from the New York federal prosecutor’s office investigating Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. It says that Trump “traveled on Epstein’s private jet far more often” than was known – eight times between 1993 and 1996.
The US Department of Justice said after publication: “Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist allegations against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI shortly before the 2020 election.” The claims are baseless and false, “and if they had even an ounce of credibility, they would surely have already been weaponized against President Trump.”
Trump again denied allegations of being involved in the Epstein affair on Monday. The fact that his name can be found in the documents does not mean that he has committed a criminal offense. He and Epstein were friends for a long time and, according to Trump, later fell out. “Everyone was friends with this man,” Trump told reporters. According to Trump’s own account, he had a falling out with his former neighbor Epstein when he poached girls and young women from his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
The financial advisor and millionaire Epstein, who was networked in the highest circles, was found dead in his prison cell in New York in 2019. According to official information, the convicted sex offender committed suicide. Before his death, he was accused of having abused more than a thousand girls and women and of having passed them on to celebrities.
