The US Department of Justice has published the first part of the investigation files into Jeffrey Epstein. An overview of what they show – and what they don’t.

On Friday, the US Department of Justice began Investigation files into the case of the late financial investor and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to publish. He was accused of abusing girls and women and passing them on to celebrities. Epstein moved in the circles of the rich and powerfulin those published so far Numerous well-known names appear in the documents. However, who was actually part of the active criminal network is only partially known. This is one of the reasons why the US Congress passed a transparency law in November with votes from Democrats and Republicans that requires the government to release the complete files within 30 days. This deadline expired on Friday evening.
