Every person sleeps differently and yet we are all programmed for healthy sleep. The body knows when it is time to fall asleep and how many hours of rest we need. Every night, an innate program for regeneration, self-healing and immune defense runs unnoticed. Even memory sorts itself out.

What our body does follows the natural day-night rhythm. We sleep in cycles of 90 to 100 minutes each and go through four sleep phases from light to medium sleep to deep sleep to dream sleep. We usually manage four to six cycles per night, giving us six to ten hours.
