When everyone comes together at Christmas with end-of-year stress on their plate and wants to be contemplative at the push of a button, the kitchen in particular quickly becomes a conflict zone. “This is where the greatest stress and anger with loved ones arises during the holidays,” says star chef Ricky Saward from Seven Swans in Frankfurt am Main. He advises: at Christmas “make as few layouts as possible.” Saward is one of four chefs who revealed tips and tricks on how you can save time and spare your nerves when preparing a holiday meal: from ready-made products that can be easily refined to dishes that can be prepared in advance to desserts that turn out particularly quickly.
