It remains slippery on many roads in Germany. The nationwide frost is leading to noticeable slippery conditions in the north and east and, in some areas, slippery conditions in the west and in the foothills of the Alps, he writes German Weather Service (DWD).
As a result, there were several accidents during the night. On Autobahn 1 near Wildeshausen in the Oldenburg district, 13 people were injured in a collision involving five vehicles. The fire department reported extreme ice conditions at the scene of the accident. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the police counted 15 slippery accidents during the night, and two drivers suffered minor injuries.
