The statutory health insurance companies are demanding a uniform portal to provide an overview of available doctor’s appointments in Germany. “It is standard today that I can control everything possible via my cell phone and of course this will also have to be the case when booking doctor’s appointments in the future,” said the deputy chairwoman of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds, Stefanie Stoff-Ahnis, to Rheinish post.
“We want free doctor’s appointments to be reported proportionately to an independent platform in the future, and then the insured can book one of the free appointments via their health insurance app if necessary,” said Stoff-Ahnis. At the same time, she demanded that the initial medical assessment should also take place digitally in the future.
