The national conservative camp in Germany has a new and somewhat surprising enemy image: Friedrich Merz. In the so-called alternative media you can read that Merz is leading Germany into a “payment trap, isolation and to the brink of entering war” (Tichy’s insight)that it was a “European fiasco” (Apollo News) experience and the “most unconservative chancellor in the history of the country” (Nius) be. For a commentator the World Merz simply has to “go away”, and the politicians AfD are attacking the Chancellor as they had previously only attacked Annalena Baerbock or Robert Habeck.
