For the authorities and the left-wing scene, the suspected left-wing extremist group of perpetrators is the one behind the arson attack in the southwest Berlin apparently a phantom. The attack temporarily cut off power to up to 100,000 people.

The unknown people set fire to a cable bridge over the Teltow Canal near the Lichterfelde power plant on Saturday night. Tens of thousands of households and many companies are still without electrical energy. Mobile communications, the Internet, heating and hot water also failed in winter temperatures. Clinics worked with emergency power, daycare centers and schools remained closed.
