Carmen-Maja Antoni: “I am the kitchen fairy”

In the 232nd episode of And what are you doing on the weekend? The actress Carmen-Maja Antoni is a guest. She became a child star on television GDR known, later played major roles at the Berliner Volksbühne and the Berliner Ensemble, including Brecht over 200 times Mother Courage at BE. She was involved in the theater for 55 years, and today she enjoys no longer having to act every day. She also became known through the TV series Rosa Roth with Iris Berben and Police Chief Krause. Carmen-Maja Antoni was born in East Berlin in 1945 and now commutes between Berlin and Usedom.

In the podcast she talks about her weekends, which she now enjoys spending with her daughter and granddaughter. “I’m having the biggest culture shock of all time,” says Carmen-Maja Antoni about the trips with her granddaughter and her taste in music. On weekends she makes “request breakfast” for her family; everyone can have breakfast for as long as they want. Carmen-Maja Antoni’s traditional morning music: Leonard Cohen and Bee Gees.
