Last week, Schleswig-Holstein’s Prime Minister made a statement Daniel Gunther with Markus Lanz thoughts about the dangers associated with social media. But then he went one step further and also called for the regulation of classic online media such as Niuswhom he called “enemies of democracy.” The moderator was apparently unsure whether he had misheard. He asked whether their work actually needs to be regulated, “censored if necessary and, in extreme cases, even banned.” Günther answered simply and without hesitation with “Yes”.
