Konkola Blades President Davy Mubita has challenged the Super League side to stay united, focused and ambitious as the team embarks on a pre-season trip to Mongu ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
Speaking to players at Konkola Stadium before departure, Mubita said unity and total commitment to the club’s objectives will be the driving force behind the campaign starting in September.
“Pre-season is the foundation of everything we will achieve on the pitch. Last season, we laid a solid foundation by finishing 9th. This season, ‘good’ is not enough,” he said.
Konkola Blades finished 9th in the 2025/26 Super League campaign.
Experienced coach Beston Chambeshi says he is keen to see the team improve further next season.
