The operators of the Madonna di Campiglio ski area in the Dolomites are introducing a limit for ski passes for the first time. According to a spokeswoman for the mountain railways, a maximum of 15,000 day passes will be issued during the main holiday week from December 28th to January 5th. You react with it on overcrowded slopes.
The new regulation only applies to day and hourly passes. Owners of season passes or multi-day passes are exempt. If you want to be on the safe side, you can buy the day ski pass in advance, said the spokeswoman.
According to the spokeswoman, it is the first time that a ski resort in… Italy introduces such a limitation. If the measure proves successful, it will be repeated at Carnival. Then another rush of skiers is expected.
The Ski area Madonna di Campiglio has a total of 155 kilometers of slopes and almost 60 cable cars and lifts. There is still little snow, but according to the spokeswoman, almost all slopes are open. Now we’re hoping for fresh snow.
