US President Donald Trump has again refused to ask Congress for approval for a possible ground attack on drug cartels in Venezuela to ask. “I wouldn’t mind telling them, but you know, it’s not a big deal,” he said in response to a reporter’s question. “I don’t have to tell them.”
The USA throws Venezuela to actively promote drug smuggling into the United States and thereby endanger the security of the United States and its citizens. Venezuela’s left-wing nationalist President Nicolás Maduro, however, suspects US plans to overthrow him.
New attack kills five people
Meanwhile are at another attack on two alleged drug boats
in the Pacific five people were killed. The ships were in international waters and were involved in drug trafficking, the US Southern Command said. This information cannot be independently verified.
Three people were killed on the first ship and two on the second ship. The attack was carried out on the orders of Defense Minister Pete Hegseth. The military released a short video clip intended to show the attacks from a bird’s eye view. It looks like the boats are being hit by missiles. The authenticity of the video could not initially be verified.
Since September, US forces have repeatedly attacked boats belonging to alleged drug smugglers in the Caribbean and the Eastern Pacific. More than 100 people have been killed so far. No concrete evidence for this representation is presented. Critics describe the attacks as extrajudicial executions and contrary to international law.
